October School Holidays 2026
We’re excited to have plenty happening at Southern Beaches Swim Centre these October school holidays, with three different programs available for children and families.
Whether your child wants to build their swimming skills, your little one is getting ready to start lessons, or you’re simply looking for something fun to do as a family, there’s something for everyone.
School Holiday Intensive Learn to Swim Workshops
Our intensive workshops are a great opportunity for children to build confidence, develop their swimming skills and keep progressing over the school holidays.
The program includes three 30-minute lessons across Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with the same lesson time each day. Each day will have a different focus, incorporating skill development, water safety and fun educational games and activities.
Cost: $60 per child for all three lessons
Bookings: Required – book online or through the SBSC app.
FREE Baby Learn to Swim Lessons
Ahead of the official launch of our infant and toddler Learn to Swim program in Term 4, we’re offering FREE introductory swimming lessons for children aged 6 months to 3 years during the second week of the holidays.
These sessions are a great opportunity to experience our new program, become familiar with the pool environment and introduce your little one to swimming in a fun and supportive setting.
A parent or guardian is required in the water with each child.
Cost: Free
Bookings: Required – book online or through the SBSC app.
Sessions: Monday, Wednesday and Friday during Week 2 of the school holidays.
Family Fun Sessions
Looking for an easy school holiday activity for the whole family? Our Family Fun Sessions are open to all ages and are all about enjoying some relaxed family time in the pool.
Family Fun Sessions will be available Monday to Saturday throughout the October school holidays during advertised session times.
Adult (16 years +): $8.50
Child (3–15 years): $6.50
Under 3 years: FREE with a paying adult
Family Pass: $25.00
Family pass includes:
• Up to 2 adults
• Up to 3 children aged 15 years and under
• Children under 3 are included free
Non-swimmers: $3.00
Bookings: No booking required – simply walk in and pay at Reception
A friendly reminder that all swimmers taking part in our Family Fun Sessions are required to wear a swim cap, and pre-swim showers are required before entering the pool.
SBSC Cafe
Our café will be open throughout the school holidays, serving great coffee along with a range of sweet and savoury treats for everyone to enjoy. Make yourself comfortable in our indoor seating area or head outside to our large outdoor space — a great spot for families to relax, enjoy a bite to eat, and let the kids have a play.
HOW TO BOOK
Bookings for our Intensive Learn to Swim Workshops and FREE Baby Learn to Swim sessions can be made through our online booking portal or the SBSC app.
Family Fun Sessions are walk-in only, so there’s no need to book ahead.
